Meet Byron and Diane Koenig!

Since 1999, the Koenig family has called Block House Creek home. If you have kids in Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts, you may have had the pleasure to work alongside Byron and Diane as they have led Scouting troops since 2006. Diane is very active in Block House Creek Elementary School’s PTA as well as a running group in our community. Byron continuously helps build something on behalf of the community. Next time you are in the Walker House, look at the display case containing arrowheads. What you will see is the result of Byron’s work, accomplished with the assistance of the kids he so diligently leads.

BHC OA would like to publicly thank the Koenig family for their volunteer time in our community. This is a family that immediately steps forward to lend a strong helping hand—Harvest Fest, staging the American flags on the 4th of July, Light Up the Night on New Year’s Eve, and the Smoke Out Crime Cook-Off. For this year’s BHC OA’s BBQ Cook-off, it was Byron, with the assistance of his scouts, who crafted those amazing Cook Off trophies!

The Koenig family represents the true essence of the Block House Creek community. Our sincerest thanks to Byron and Diane, volunteers who make our community a wonderful place  to call home.

A big high five to BHC’s Fantastic Volunteers!
