BHC OA’S UPCOMING BOOT CAMP! Today, research shows that, on average, after the age of 25, with each passing decade we experience a 2-4% decline in our metabolic rate. Also sabotaging our metabolism is the yearly “high calorie season” that begins with Halloween and typically extends through Valentine’s Day, which, for most, results in a 5 to 8 pound weight gain with an added metabolic decline, every decade, of a 5 pound loss of muscle mass. Getting older can seem like a depressing proposition, but, it doesn’t have to be. We can all combat such statistics with exercise! The right type of exercise can counteract those pounds and also boost metabolism.
High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) has been proven to be the most effective method within the shortest amount of time. In just six weeks—one hour each Saturday, February 4th through March 11th, with the help of the BHC OA-sponsored Boot Camp, you can help keep that muscle mass and fuel that metabolism. B-Fit Bootcamp will get you moving in the company of great friends and neighbors with a variety of “doable” exercises (and plenty of modifications as needed) as well as provide you with workout ideas to do at home.
