Block House Municipal Utility District contracts with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Department for supplemental patrols by off-duty deputies. This increased presence of law enforcement officers improves the overall safety of Block House Creek by protecting District property, keeping vandalism in check, keeping traffic within speed limits, and observing and investigating suspicious behavior.
As a direct result of these additional patrols, two suspects were taken into custody in the early morning hours of June 6th. Deputy Jason Cox was working for the District and saw a suspicious vehicle in the Susan Lane area. Backup units were called and two persons were subsequently arrested for burglary of a vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia.
When Williamson County deputies are in the neighborhood, whether a regular patrol by on-duty Sheriff’s deputies or a supplemental patrol paid for by the District, they are working to keep crime under control and increase safety in our community.
