It is with great pride that your Association’s Board of Directors announces to members that during the Community Associations Institute’s (CAI) December 7, 2012 Awards Event, BHC OA was named winner in three categories: Community of the Year, Community Spirit, and Communication Innovation!
The Community Awards Program is designed to reward outstanding performance by common-interest community leaders. Entries were reviewed and winners determined by a distinguished group of Central Texas dignitaries.
Community of the Year
CAI’s definition of the Community of the Year award: “This prestigious award distinguishes the homeowner and condominium associations that best demonstrate exemplary service of the community outside of its own association boundaries such as community outreach, charitable works, and environmental service.”
Community Spirit
CAI’s definition of the Community Spirit award: “This prestigious award distinguishes the homeowner and condominium associations that best demonstrate exemplary service in the areas of community outreach and environmental service.”
Community Innovation
CAI’s definition of the Communication Innovation award: “This award recognizes communities that utilize websites, newsletters, social media, text notification and other forms of communication to keep residents informed.
Levels of Competition
These awards were limited to one Owners Association and one Condominium Association across three levels of competition depending on association size—small (500 OA single-family households or less, 50 unit Condominium OAs), mid-sized (501-1,500 OA single-family households, 51-150 unit Condominium OAs), and large (1501+ OA single-family households, 151+ unit Condominium OAs! BHC OA competed in the mid-sized level.
A Round of Applause to All
Achieving such recognition is not only accomplished by a Board of Directors but by each and every volunteer. Thanks must be extended to all, to every 2012 Director, to Committee Chairs and committee members, and to those who volunteer on an as-needed basis. Our appreciation is extended to each and every volunteer!
