All neighborhoods experience some degree of mischievous pranks and criminal mischief. These activities increase during the summer months and school breaks when kids are out of school. Embracing the “it takes a village” philosophy, the BHC Owners Association is requesting that we all join forces and take a proactive stance to put a stop these behaviors.

While all crime damages communities, a small number of persistent offenders in an area commit a disproportionate amount of crime. As a result, tackling their offending behavior swiftly and comprehensively will have a positive effect in BHC.

Each of us plays an important role in keeping our neighborhood safe from mischief and other more significant criminal activity. Please keep an eye out for suspicious activity. If you experience suspicious persons or witness suspicious activity taking place, dial 911 immediately so it can be addressed by the Sheriff’s Office right away. To report damage or criminal activity after the fact, please call the Williamson County Sheriff’s non-emergency number, 512-943-1389.

Additionally, if you find graffiti, please photograph it, and submit it your documentation to Board Member Pam Phillips, pamlabee@sbcglobal.net. Make sure to include the location, date, and time of the photo so that we can work to identify these offenders and such behavior.

If you would like to participate in a Neighborhood Block Watch program, contact your neighbors and put together a plan of action for your area. While your Block Watch commitment is only a few short hours a month, it will go a very long way to making a difference in BHC.

Together we can continue to maintain Block House Creek as a wonderful and safe place for our families.
