Meet Fantastic Volunteers Ana and Rolando Garza!

It was eleven years ago that Pre-K teacher Ana and fiance, Rolando, a Teco Westinghouse designer, began scouring neighborhoods in search of the perfect place for newlyweds to purchase their first home. “For us, Block House Creek was welcoming,” says Ana, “a great place to begin our married life and start a family. We’ve always loved the parks, the access to pools, seeing people out walking about, and the fact that everyone is so friendly.” She also enjoys the biking club, Aqua Zumba, and especially appreciates the many activities for kids. Clearly, the Garza family loves Block House Creek. “No other neighborhood can compare.”

During Association events, you’ll see Ana, a member of the Recreation Committee, cheerfully lending a helping hand. What influences prompted Ana to become involved, not only with the Association, but with a number of other groups as well? She feels it was the way she was raised. “Mom instilled in me the desire to volunteer and nurtured the part of my personality that wants to be a worker bee. I feel really blessed that our community offers so many opportunities for us to be involved in and enjoy and that we have an Association that does so much for everyone.” Mom to third grader Isabela and kindergartener Andres, Ana also supports the work of the Block House Creek Elementary PTA, participates in church activities, and assists with Vacation Bible School.

Congratulations to Outstanding Volunteer Ana Garza and her fantastic family!
