MEET OUTSTANDING VOLUNTEER JESSICA GAUDET!
It was just four years ago that Jessica and Lucien Guadet left Tennessee and headed for Texas. “We immediately loved Leander,” says Jessica, previously in the dental field but now a stay-at-home Mom. “It was while riding the train that we spotted the amenities and zeroed in on Block House Creek as the place we wanted to look.” In just one month, they had located the home they wanted and were moved in.
Jessica soon became involved in the activities of Block House Creek. Over the past few years, she has assisted the Association’s Recreation Committee with a number of projects, most recently, the Kid’s Kitchen event and the Back to School Bash. On behalf of the Maintenance and Safety Committee, Jessica, Lucien, Madison, and Ethan have assisted with placement of the Fourth of July flags along the three-mile loop as well as with positioning and retrieval of luminaries for Light Up the Night. Jessica is also a co-leader of a Girl Scout troop and is active in BHC’s Bunco group. This year, she is the Block House Creek Elementary School PTA member who will be handling announcements on the school’s marquee.
In the opinion of both Jessica and Lucien, Block House Creek stands out among the crowd. “Everyone has been so welcoming. There just isn’t any place that compares. We love the family involvement atmosphere here. We love bike riding, the pools, the parks. We look forward to being more involved.”
Lucien, an AT&T employee with a 35-mile commute, agrees. “I have never before seen a community that does what Block House does. My commute alone shows how much we like it here. We plan to stay.”
A hearty congratulations from the Block House Creek Owners Association as well as the Block House Creek community to Jessica! Special thanks to her and to Lucien—Madison and Ethan, too!
